Richard Newis of AJK was the UK’s first Property Care Association (PCA) approved independent surveyor and specialises in advising on and project managing the identification and removal of Japanese Knotweed and other invasive species. Richard works closely with the PCA’s Invasive Species Working Group as both an examiner and drafting guidance documents for the industry.The market for removing Japanese Knotweed is complex and can be confusing with so many contractors out there offering patented ‘eradication’ methods or removal works at varying costs. Many also have different levels of experience and expertise. AJK’s independence and understanding of the contracting market ensures that our advice is bespoke to our clients’ needs. We make sure the right contractor is appointed on the right terms and for the right price to undertake the required works, whilst conforming to legislation and best practice.
