Ashfield advised a large industrial portfolio holder on the required management strategy for Japanese Knotweed across their UK sites. Ashfield have provided training to the client’s in-house surveyors on identifying Japanese Knotweed and as required have undertaken surveys prior to developing an appropriate strategy for the management of the invasive species. Works have also included assessing the impact from third party land onto our clients.
Development
Ashfield have provided our client, a high street bank, with a management strategy and cost report for an infestation of Japanese Knotweed at a site in the Midlands. The strategy was two fold, based on the clients objectives i.e. short term management plan to reduce the risk of off site and on-site spread of the infestation and medium term plan for remediation of Japanese Knotweed to facilitate a residential development.
Investment
Ashfield have undertaken a survey of 204 industrial sites as part of a due diligence exercise for the financial restricting of a large industrial portfolio holder. As part of the works, Ashfield provided recommendations on the management of the observed Japanese Knotweed as part of the financial restructuring deal.
